What To Expect:

Morning Pickup & Scenic Drive

Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel or vacation rental in private transportation. The scenic drive takes you through the beautiful landscapes surrounding the RincΓ³n de La Vieja Volcano. Since this is a private transfer, you can request stops along the way for breakfast, wildlife spotting, or any other interests you may have.

Hot Springs & Mud Bath

Upon arrival at the hot springs (between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM), we’ll collect our access bracelets and head toward the soothing volcanic waters. You’ll have access to lockers, dressing rooms, and towels. Beverages and snacks are available for purchase. After a short 300-meter walk, you’ll reach the hot springs, where you can relax in the rejuvenating waters, apply volcanic mud to your skin, and rinse off to reveal noticeably softer, healthier skin. Most visitors spend around 1 to 1.5 hours here, soaking up the tranquil atmosphere.

Oropendula Waterfall Adventure

Next, we’ll visit the breathtaking Oropendula Waterfall, cascading 82 feet into a turquoise pool (approximately 25 meters). After crossing a scenic footbridge, you’ll descend into a peaceful gorge, where the waterfall creates a perfect spot for swimming or wading. The 15-minute trail to the base is scenic and pleasant, and once at the waterfall, most guests spend anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour enjoying the refreshing waters and stunning surroundings.

Traditional Lunch

After the waterfall adventure (between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM), we’ll head to La Hacienda restaurant for a traditional casado lunch, offering a hearty and authentic taste of Costa Rican cuisine.

Poza Los Coyotes & River Float

After lunch, we’ll take a scenic route to a picturesque section of the RΓo Blanco known as Poza Los Coyotes. This hidden gem is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and peaceful surroundings, making it perfect for swimming and relaxation. The area is easy to explore, with accessible paths leading to the river. Poza Los Coyotes is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and offers convenient facilities like bathrooms and life jacket rentals if needed.

Once there, you’ll have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the serene pools or relax on the riverbanks, soaking in the forest’s tranquility. As part of your experience, we’ll provide inner tubes so you can float gently down the slow-moving river. While drifting through this scenic stretch, you can spot wildlife, enjoy the lush greenery, and perhaps take a few playful dives into the pristine waters. This peaceful float offers the perfect way to unwind after the day’s adventures and connect with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Return to Your Hotel

After a relaxing time at Poza Los Coyotes, we’ll head back in private transportation. This is a perfect opportunity to share stories about the day’s experiences or simply unwind and enjoy a peaceful nap as we return to your hotel.
