Link Expeditions is an Expedition Design Team led by Alberto Salas, a Costa Rican naturalist and educator with a passion for responsible and experiential travel. Born and raised in rural Costa Rica, Alberto’s journey from local guide to international trip leader shaped his belief that the most profound travel experiences inspire personal growth and create genuine connections with nature and culture.

Alberto is like family. This was our second trip to Costa Rica and our second excursion with him. The words in this review will not do him justice. He is an amazing person who spends the whole trip engaged with you. He loves his country and is passionate about sharing it with visitors. He tailor made our excursion this time to make certain we would be doing new things. Tubing down the river was a dream. Our guides only made it better. The waterfall is breathtaking. If you want to do a natural cold plunge then go here. Then we finished by relaxing at hot springs and a mud bath. Lunch on this trip was the best we ever experienced on any vacation. What a day! None of this was possible without Alberto. The pictures he took were unbelievable. He is all about service and making sure you create memories. He is an incredible human being and truly a gift.

We had a great time on a snorkeling excursion! They arranged transportation to and from the beach. Selected great areas with beautiful water and beaches! And even let our youngest catch a fish on the ride back in. Highly recommend!

It was our first time to Costa Rica and Alberto and his team at Link Expeditions were fantastic in helping us on our excursions throughout the country. We gave them a list of places we were going to visit and ideas of things we wanted to do in those areas. They not only came back with prices for those excursions, but they made recommendations for others that many tourists don’t think about and that were better and less expensive. A case in point is that we wanted to do a Nature walk through the cloud forest In Monteverde. They recommended that we do a different nature reserve at a slightly lower elevation because we would be in and walking through the cloud forest during our zip line and hanging bridge excursions the next day. The result was that we were able to see two slightly different ecosystems with varied plant and animal life instead of just one.
They also checked in on us frequently and asked how our excursions were going and asked if we had any additional questions about Costa Rica. They answered and helped guide us through our trip with honest and friendly advice without any pressure to book additional excursions at any point.

We had an amazing experience! We did the hike to the waterfall, the sloth tour, and the cocoa and coffee experience. Our guide, Adrian, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and went the extra mile to give us an amazing experience at each stop. We highly recommend this company and these tours!
Alberto and his team are the absolute best - 11/10 recommend! Alberto organized multiple partial and full day private excursions for both our wedding group and honeymoon in Tamarindo and La Fortuna. Every single excursion was excellent - everyone had a blast! Alberto is the most genuinely friendly person, super organized, and has so much passion for his business. If you're looking for awesome, personalized excursions outside of the normal commercialized tours, Link Expeditions is the way!
Alberto was amazing! I was really stressed about my upcoming wedding in Costa Rica and needed a hand planning activities for the rest of my trip! Alberto was recommended by our wedding planner and was very helpful , friendly and easily contactable (we even kept in touch throughout our time in the country). He was very knowledgeable about the tours/trips and provided us with some amazing adventures/guides that were all tailored to our needs! We even experienced a cooking class with a local family (which was very unique and I could not find anywhere else!)

Every excursion that Alberto, owner of Link Expeditions, planned for our group was perfection from pick-up at our hotel to drop off. We were not disappointed. He was a great guide as well. His responses during the planning stages our questions were always answered quickly. We learned so much about Costa Rica and even learned a little Spanish. By the end of our trip and many excursions we felt like Alberto was a part of our family. He truly does care about his clients and was so accommodating with last minute changes. We highly recommend Link Expeditions.
Initially I contacted Alberto for transportation from the airport to our hotel and back. We ended up with one free day and Alberto arranged the perfect Costa Rican experience for us: rain forest/hanging bridges, authentic CR meal, seeing howler monkeys/ sloths/birds/butterflies/colorful frogs and the like, coffee and cacao plantation tours.
Alberto is delightful and so knowledgeable about Costa Rica, the culture, the rain forest, animals, flora/fauna, biodiversity, etc. He went out of his way to ensure our expectations were more than met, all the while keeping in mind our activity level/ability.

Link Expeditions provided excellent shuttle service for us during our recent visit to Costa Rica. Our driver, Jacob, was great! Alberto was instrumental to our trip to Costa Rica. When I was booking our trip I was overwhelmed by all the tours and adventures operators. I also didnt know which areas to visit since it was our first time there. I had a call with Alberto and told him what we had in mind for activities and experiences and it was like he read my mind. He came back with a detailed plan for each day that was perfect for us.

This excursion was awesome. The hike was more than I imagined but well worth it once we made it to La Leona Waterfalls. It was beautiful. I am so happy I was able to get out and see these beautiful gems in CR. Alberto was the best tour guide and super accommodating. We were together for most of the day and were so grateful we had him showing us the lovely sites. He’s a doll and couldn't have been better. Thank you Alberto. I hope we keep in touch for ever!

I highly recommend Link Expeditions. The founder, Alberto, is an incredible person who is not only kind, but very knowledgeable about Cost Rica. Costa Rica is known for its tourism, but Alberto is able to provide an experience that is difficult to find as a tourist.
